Dr Trevor Kletz

Dr Trevor Kletz

Fellow SLP members,

I regret to inform you about the passing away of Dr Trevor Kletz. With his passing on October 31, 2013, the whole Process Safety fraternity has lost a giant in Process Safety.

We in SLP, especially, will miss his wise counsel. He was our first SLP Honorary Fellow.

When SLP was formed, Dr. Trevor Kletz not only gave us encouragement and moral support, he also demonstrated this by attending and delivering papers at our conferences. These are recalled in John Lockwood’s  Personal Collections which is attached

SLP and the global process industries have lost a great champion, friend and mentor. I commend you to remember the tremendous legacy in process safety he has left for us to benefit from and to improve upon.

Best Regards,
Tay Cheng Pheng
President, SLP
