Objective | The aim of the course is to promote a safer plant from the design phase through to operations. Practitioners will appreciate the inherently safer design strategies and hierarchical approach directed towards a safer plant. Continuous efforts towards safety in operations are presented. | |
Synopsis | The approach towards a safer plant by implementing requirements from codes, standards and best practices is addressed. Identification of hazards, risk assessment and formal safety assessment studies are included. Topics on explosions, fires and toxic releases and the impact on health, safety and environment are covered. Case Studies are presented to provide lessons learnt from incidents and to ensure plants are made safer. | |
